Time for a cuppa!

Vince is geared for a very busy year next year. I have a full list of market dates and a swag of new pieces. We are working through Christmas and will certainly be taking it at a more leisurely pace for the next couple of weeks.

Vince Website

Our website is almost finished. Here is just one of the pages. This has certainly been a fun project and I can't wait for it to be launched. We are just putting in the final touches.

I will be continuing to use this blog as a useful place for events and other fun stuff.

Craft Vic Hatch Saturday 13 December

The heavens opened up and it poured rain all day. This did keep the numbers down but I was so very wrapped with the amount of people that stopped by to buy cards. The day was a wonderful success for me and I am meeting so many creative people along the way. I have so many ideas ticking around and attending these markets has now become an important tool for developing my business now and into the future.

I will be attending Craft's Hatch craft market in the future.

Christmas cards for sale

Don't forget your Christmas cards. These cards are now for sale at Design a Space in the city or by contacting me directly through this blog. Get in quickly as I have done a limited edition of them this year - so they are very special items.

Magnolia Square was a hit!

I loved being here at this boutique craft market. There were so many wonderful products here. It was an overwhelming positive response to my new stationery and thank you everyone so very much for stopping by to buy your Christmas cards or gifts and for your encouraging words.

Being here infront of my customers has given me some wonderful ideas and my head is still spinning.

Watch this space.

And don't forget to check out magnolia square this weekend at Malvern.

Plant this card!

This has to be the most exciting development so far!

This is the unofficial launch of the botanical range. By following the instructions scribed into the back of this card you can plant it and watch it grow. A complete gift in its self.

I will also be offering this paper with a signature design to all my brides. So watch this space for developments on this.

Sip and see

This is a customised invitation created from one of my baby announcements from the signature range. These are normally sold in sets where the customer can fill in their details by hand, when this client requested that we do the whole job in letterpress - I couldn't resist.

Merry Christmas

Here are some more images from the small range of Christmas cards I have put together for this year. Merry Christmas.

A castle on a hill in Portugal

I can't imagine anything more romantic, how amazing and I hope they have the perfect day. I have loved working with Susana on her wedding invitations and it was especially interesting as we worked through her invitation design with the text in Portuguese.
From a design point of view this was a very rewarding challenge, both Susana and Nuno were very happy with the results.

lady beetles and writing paper

I have started putting together stationery sets for sale. I have always loved lady beetles and I remember tip-toeing through hundreds of them in the park one day - and I will never forget it.

Silver goldfish

I have used this cream stock and matched it with a brilliant white envelope and the silver just has a hint of shimmer. These are my favourite today.

Design a space

Today we moved into Design a Space at Manchester lane in the city centre of Melbourne. Design a Space is a gallery retail store and gives designers amazing opportunities to showcase their creations. We were offered a small space in the city store and I hope everyone loves my work as much as I enjoyed making it.

And more stationery

I am in the throws of bundling these babies up for their new home in my first retailer...more on this in the next couple of days.
In the meantime here are some images of the work in progress.

And on the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

...a letterpress gift card tag. Here is a sneak preview of a small range that is underway for Christmas this year.

Calling cards

It is a very exciting time for me. I am in the throws of designing and launching some signature items and I have some very amazing projects on the go.

Like always stay tuned...in the meantime, please enjoy some images from my most recent press room escapades.

These are some small calling cards that can be used for all occasions, having them handy in your handbag or wallet will always ensure you have a special place to write your phone number or other contact details.

In sets of 100 they are already available for purchase on Etsy.

It's that time of year

Vince is in the throws of filtering through many wedding invitation enquiries. I love this type of work and I adore learning more about how the couples choose to celebrate their special day. I have already been privilaged enough to work of some beautiful wedding stationery projects and I am very eager to continue to do this type of work.

A Chandler & Price is on it's way

After much research and a little patience, a chandler & price hand fed press is
finally on it's way. I found a press in Frenchtown NJ. This press will spend 40 days
at sea before arriving in Australia from the USA.

I am very excited and can't wait for it to arrive. It has been a very long wait and if
letterpress has taught me anything it has taught me patience.

Playing cards with a dice

Here is another print run of note cards from the playing card range. I will also be selling these in sets of 10 including these envelopes.

Kays 21st invitations

I have had many requests from potential clients to have photos included on their invitations. I can't print them on the press, well I could but the end results wouldn't even compare the high quality today's offset printers can produce - leaving my clients feeling a little disappointed.

So the short of it is, I found a way...

I have also created these little hand made photo corners. They are a little time consuming to make, but should I get more orders for this type of work, I am sure I will find a better way to do these.

LETTERPRESS - PLAYING CARD NOTES

This is one of the newest additions to my current range. I have been designing new pieces for weeks now and I am slowly printing them all.

So stay tuned as I will be uploading these new images quite regularly. I am very excited about these pieces as the concept of the playing cards pattern on one side - which is immediately recognisable and the other side is blank so that your imagination to do the rest.

These note cards come in sets of 10. Letterpress printed on 1 side and blank on the other. Each card is perfect for hand writing a thoughtful note and sent to a close friend or even used for writing an invitation.

Each set includes:

10 note cards at 98mm x 148mm
10 matching blue banker style envelopes.

Enjoy

FIONA'S WEDDING STATIONERY

FIONA'S WEDDING IN NOVEMBER

Fiona's theme is black and white and I have been printing these wedding invitations over the last couple of weeks. Everyone was really happy with the results. I am not responsible for the design, it was supplied by Fiona's fiance. Collaborating with other designers is great, it brings diversity to my work and opens up possibilities that I may not have earlier considered.

MY FIRST SALES

GIFT CARDS DESIGN BY VINCE

Handmade in Melbourne

So wrapped this is the first of my online sales with Etsy. I will definitely continue to stock this item and will absolutely add cards to this as a range of hands cards - ha! get it? Interesting play with words there. Hands on cards that are also handmade.

ENGAGEMENT INVITATIONS

DESIGNED BY VINCE

Handmade in Melbourne

Merging classical elegance with modern design, these engagement invitations are perfect for the busy modern couple.

This design is around the theme of lovebirds. Printed in this deep blue comes with matching envelopes. Currently I am selling them on Etsy in  bundles of 100 with the option for custom quantities, I also will be offering the service of customising the wording for clients. I'll let you know how this goes.

I have spent a heap of time getting this engagement stationery designed and now it's finally printed and ready to go. I am so very proud to announce the unofficial launch of this line of engagement invitations. I have big plans to add to this range and I will be adding to it regularly.

The themes used on the engagement invites can also be easily translated at a later date onto wedding stationery. By doing this the entire theme is co-ordinated right through the wedding stationery.

Tomorrow is a full day of printing wedding stationery. I will post some of these images later in the week.
This is a photo of my dog he makes a great assistant and he is excellent company while I am at work.

I have spent some really long hours developing a signature range designed by me and hand printed in my little studio - Vince.

So now, I proudly invite you to check out my new shop with the first of my gift cards from my baby collection, inspired by my adorable nephew and printed with love. I am slowly adding to these items with other original pieces, so keep checking in so you don't miss a thing.

WHY LETTERPRESS?

Well I am always on the lookout for something special to inspire that creativity. I do love typography and it was a piece of letterpress stationery that caught my eye one day, and in my imagination it stayed - until now!

I researched presses and in August 2007 I bought my first press on Ebay.

I do hope to use this blog to share with you pictures of the presses from my little studio, newly printed stationery, monthly specials for bloggers and any other interesting happenings here at Vince... so... stay tuned...

WEDDING BELLS

INTRODUCING OUR WEDDING STATIONERY DESIGN AND LETTERPRESS PRINTING
Vince understands that a couple's engagement invitations and wedding stationery are the first impression they will give to family and friends and can set the tone for their entire wedding. Couples can create and design a wedding package to suit their individual tastes, style and budget.

Here are some photos from my most recent work.
